Kū-Malu is currently prioritizing the development of its retail, distribution, and hospitality partner network.

Designed for compatible beach umbrella poles with diameters of 20–38 mm. Compatibility must be confirmed for the intended umbrella and use.
How long does assembly take?
Designed for quick, tool-free assembly. Assembly time varies with familiarity, the umbrella, installation and site conditions. Follow the setup instructions.
Does the product require tools?
No. Kū-Malu is designed for tool-free assembly and setup.
Can retailers request samples?
Qualified retailers may submit a sample request through the business enquiry form. Sample availability, cost, shipping, and commercial conditions will be confirmed after the enquiry is reviewed.
Are distribution territories available?
Potential distribution opportunities may be available in selected markets. Territory status and partnership conditions are subject to discussion and formal agreement.
Is Kū-Malu suitable for resorts and beach clubs?
Kū-Malu may be evaluated by resorts, hotels, beach clubs, rental operators, and other managed beach environments. Compatibility and suitability should be assessed according to the operator’s umbrellas, operating procedures, site conditions, and safety requirements.
Are OEM, private-label, or co-branding arrangements available?
ONNIA welcomes enquiries about OEM cooperation, private-label production, product bundles and co-branding with Kū-Malu™, its commercial brand. Technology licensing is a separate discussion involving patent rights held by Sabe Products. Availability and commercial terms are subject to evaluation and agreement.
Can we license the technology for products under our own brand?
ONNIA welcomes discussions with qualified brands about own-brand production and technology licensing opportunities involving technology developed and patented by Sabe Products. Sabe Products holds the associated patent rights. Product scope, territory, production responsibilities and commercial terms would need to be agreed with the relevant rights holder; an enquiry does not grant a licence. Co-branding with Kū-Malu™ concerns ONNIA’s brand and commercial activity.
What testing information is available?
The controlled product model was tested by SGS. Report No. AJHL260500346001SD-1 references ASTM F3681-24, Clause 7.5 Mechanical Pull Test, with the result recorded as PASS. This mechanical pull-test result is not presented as a wind-speed certification. Qualified partners may request the technical documentation.
Is Kū-Malu wind-proof?
No beach umbrella stabilization product should be described as wind-proof. Conditions, umbrella design, installation, surface, maintenance, and correct use can affect performance. Users and operators must follow all safety instructions and close or remove umbrellas when conditions require it.
When is the consumer Kickstarter launch planned?
The consumer Kickstarter campaign is currently planned for early 2027. The final launch date will be communicated once it has been confirmed.
